1. Oil Cleansing Blend

The principle of “oil dissolves oil” works wonders because oils gently lift makeup residue and sebum from the skin, all while keeping it hydrated. This makes it an ideal choice for the first step in your evening skincare routine.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon castor oil
  • 1 teaspoon of another oil (almond, olive, avocado, or grapeseed oil)

Instructions:

  1. Mix the oils in the appropriate proportions based on your skin type:
  • For oily skin: 1 tbsp castor oil and 1 tsp of another oil.
  • For normal skin: a 50/50 mixture.
  • For dry skin: 1 tsp castor oil and 1 tbsp of another oil.
  1. Apply the mixture to your face and gently massage for 2-3 minutes.
  2. Soak a towel in warm water, wring it out, and press it gently to your face.
  3. Finish by rinsing your face with warm water and a mild cleansing product.

2. Honey Water

Honey is not only a delicious food but also an excellent skin cleanser. It moisturizes, nourishes, and helps reduce inflammation. Honey water is perfect for quickly and effectively removing dirt and makeup.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon water

Instructions:

  1. Mix honey with water until fully dissolved.
  2. Apply the mixture to your face, gently massaging.
  3. Rinse with warm water.

Honey has antiseptic and moisturizing properties, making it ideal for dry and sensitive skin. It also helps maintain a healthy moisture balance in the skin.

3. Flour-based cleansing

Flour is an affordable and effective skin cleanser that also helps moisturize it. Oat, rice, buckwheat, chickpea, or rye flour are the best options for cleansing. These types of flour gently cleanse the skin while helping to maintain moisture.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tablespoon of oat, chickpea, rice, or rye flour (mix of equal parts of these flours)

Instructions:

  1. Mix 1 teaspoon of the flour mixture with water.
  2. Apply to your face and gently massage.
  3. Leave it on for 1-2 minutes and rinse with warm water.

This remedy is ideal for sensitive and dry skin, as the flour doesn’t damage the skin barrier and helps retain moisture.
